Top RANK promoter Bob Arum was sounding like himself again during a recent conference call to promote an bout on the undercard of the Nov. 13 show at Cowboys Stadium headlined by Manny Pacquiao fighting Antonio Margarito.
The call showcased Philadelphia welterweight Mike Jones, who faces Jesus Soto Karass of Mexico in a 10-round bout that will be part of the pay-per-view telecast. But Arum took the opportunity to talk confidently about how well the promotion will do, going so far as to predict he will exceed the 51,000 seats sold at Cowboys Stadium last March, when Pacquiao defeated Joshua Clottey.
