Rising Mexico star Julio Cesar Chavez Junior will not be traveling to the Philippines to pariticpate in sparring sessions with pound for pound best boxer Manny Pacquiao, as he foresees a bout against the Filipino in the near future.
In comments printed by Mexican news source Notimex, Chavez reveled the possibility of a fight with Pacquiao for 2011 from his training camp in Mexico.
?I getting ready for my fight against Alfonso Gomez on December 4 in Anaheim, California. I was supposed to go to the Philippines and do sparring with Pacquiao, which is something very important for me, but at the same time, it has been said that Manny could be my opponent next year, and I think in helping him with sparring would be complicated,? said Chavez Junior.
Pacquiao is scheduled to fight Antonio Margarito on November 13 in Arlington, Texas.
