Timothy Bradley and Devon Alexander will lock horns in January and more news

Start 2011 with a bang!- It?s official, Timothy Bradley and Devon Alexander will lock horns on January 29th. Since last year it became inevitable that both undefeated fighters would soon meet across the ring from one another, the only question that remained was exactly when would it take place? Well now we know, so let the games begin. When I first thought about this fight, I remember thinking that as young as Devon is, I still feel that Devon would outbox Bradley. But today I sing a different tune. After watching Kotelnik put mad hands on Alexander back when they both fought in August, I now am leaning towards Bradley to outwork Alexander in the late rounds. I give props to both fighters for fighting each other this early into their careers. Imagine if Mayweather and Mosley had fought each other early in their careers, who would have won then? Well in Bradley/Alexander we shall get the answer now opposed to way later.

Sydorenko next, then who?- Nonito Donaire Jr. to me is one of the best pure boxers in the sport. I have always found myself wishing for Nonito to get the big break that he deserves to smash through. On December 4 Live from Anaheim marks the first step towards the big dance. On December 4, Nonito is set to face the very tough Volodymyr Sydorenko. The plan is to have Nonito skate by Sydorenko then have Nonito take on the biggest fish of them all, Fernando Montiel. Rumor has it however, that Montiel got into a motorcycle accident in Mexico and may be out of the ring for quite a while. So if Montiel is not available for a February date, who then should Nonito face? If I had my way, I would love to see a boxing chess match between Nonito Donaire and Anselmo Moreno. A Donaire/Moreno match will feature the 2 sharpest minds in the division. If Donaire gets by Sydorenko, then Moreno, then Montiel late in the year, you would have to then be crazy if you do not place Donaire in the top 5 of the pound for pound list.

Earth to K9 Bundrage and Saul Alvarez- K9, You are deep in a sleep if you think Oscar will come out of retirement to face you. For starters, Oscar will not be coming out of retirement, and if he does, Oscar will not come out of retirement for a stack. Oscar will come out of retirement for stacks [plural] don?t you already know that Oscar breaks the bank every time he comes out?

And Saul Alvarez, you too are dreaming if you think that you are ready for Shane Mosley. You may not even be ready for Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. so you can forget about Mosley. Mosley may be viewed as finished to many out there, but Mosley still is not finished enough to be a stepping stone for you. I would advise you to knock the so called magic out of Matthew Hatton once you defeat N?Dou, then after Hatton you should face the winner of Chavez Jr. and Alfonso Gomez.

Berto versus Freddy Hernandez? Really are you serious?- I am a fan of Andre Berto so whenever you feel that I am being to hard on him it?s because I expect more from fighters that I admire. So when I heard that Berto would be facing Hernandez, I got sick to my stomach. Whatever happened to challenging yourself? Was Josh Clottey, Kell Brook, Randall Bailey, Kendall Holt, Antwone Smith, all busy? I alre
