Maybe some of you have noticed that it?s been a while since you saw my name next to a storyline on this site. Let?s be honest though; most of you probably haven?t had the slightest clue or even really wondered what the reason was for the layoff. First, the truth behind this matter is that while the sport that we all love was taking its usual summer break in the month of August, I decided to do the same, though I do enjoy ranting and raving and getting all of my ?See I told you so?s? off my chest when I sit down to write one of these pieces on whatever sparks my interest in the sport at that moment. Honestly, the reason for the long hiatus is that nothing sparked my interest. So while on my break from writing about the ?Sweet Science? in order to keep my juices flowing, what occurred during my break made me realize just how sad a state this sport is actually in.
It all started on the night of August 14th. See, what occurred on that night was something that sparked my interest more so than the fact that the fight that was shown that night fell about three football lengths away from exciting. Simply put; a frustration that had been building up inside of me reached its tipping point.
