The focus of our conversation wound up on his junior middleweight Alfredo Angulo’s immigration issues. BoxingScene recently reported that HBO would not air or finance any more of his fights until he could prove his right to work in the country.
Michael Marley’s article that ran on Boxingscene went into detail describing how the Mexican slugger had previously been deported and is living in the U.S. illegally. What was curious is that his article was full of quotes from Shaw’s promotional rival Bob Arum.
Shaw doesn’t believe that is coincidence.
