Mayweather’s blueprint to fix what he’s broken

What happened to the boastful, cocky, and loud Floyd Mayweather Jr? It wasn’t too long ago when Floyd was on YouTube blasting Manny Pacquiao. He didn’t stop with Manny, he took some shots at Asian people in general. It’s been awfully quiet as of late though.

Floyd’s felony charges and more than likely his attorney to a degree has humbled Floyd. Well, probably not too much, but he’s been silenced on a part time basis anyway. The apology that Floyd issued to Manny and the Filipinos from what I can tell has fallen on deaf ears. Floyd’s done a lot of damage over time, so it’s going to take more than one apology.

Does Floyd even care about his legacy? There’s a chance that he doesn’t. If I had to guess? I think deep down that Floyd does care about his legacy. The problem is, Floyd’s been surrounded by a bunch of “yes” men for years. He’s got too many people in his circle that only tell him what he wants to hear, and not what he needs to hear.

Here is a free blueprint for Floyd to use, (if he so wishes) that in my opinion would fix some of what he has broken, and it would also bring back some of the fans that he has lost. Floyd should try the below listed suggestions, and not neccessarily in this order.

1 – Sign a contract and fight Manny Pacquiao ASAP – Fighting Manny Pacquiao would silence some of his crtics. His critics all say that he’s scared to fight Manny. Accepting a fight against Manny Pacquiao would be the first step to recovery.

2 – Fly under the radar. – Floyd needs to keep quiet, and just train hard.

3 – Fire just about everybody that surrounds him. His uncle Roger is looking at jail as well, and his advisors are obviously a group of people that only tell him what he wants to hear, and not what he needs to hear.

4 – Get humble. Flashing money in the faces of those who have no money, and showing off all of the bling bling doesn’t impress anyone.

These are 4 things that Floyd should do immediately. Other than fighting Manny, most of the above can be initiated now. Floyd love him or hate him knows how to box. His number 1 pound for pound position has been taken away from him. If he wants it back, he must fight Manny Pacquiao. If he has any desire whatsoever to leave a decent legacy, then he has to make adjustments and he needs to make changes in his life.

Nobody is perfect in this world. Floyd isn’t perfect, but he is a human being. He can still turn things around if he chooses to do so, but nobody will do it for him. This is something that Floyd must do on his own.

As I have reported in previous articles, those in my state of Mississippi that used to support him have mostly turned their back on him. His fans are disgusted by his most recent rant, and a lot of them are disgusted that he basically ducked Manny Pacquiao. Fans that I spoke with in Byram, MS at the “Clash in the cage” MMA fights were all in agreement that Floyd took things way too far when he attacked Asian people.

Only time will tell if Floyd can, or even wants to repair what he’s broken. Hopefully he will do what’s right for himself as a human being f
