On the heels of the announcement that lightweight champion Juan Manuel Marquez will be fighting Michael Katsidis, Marquez also replaces Marco Antonio Barrera on ESPN Deportes Golpe a Golpe.
Marquez will take over Barrera’s role as an analyst on the weekly thirty-minute spanish language boxing news show.
A move into broadcasting could single that the 37 year old Marquez’s career is nearing its end. Marquez was last seen out-pointing Juan Diaz over twelve rounds on July 31.
His battle with Katsidis is scheduled for November 27 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada.
