?If you define cowardice as running away at the first sign of danger, screaming and tripping and begging for mercy, then yes, Mr. Brave man, I guess I’m a coward.? – It’s not very difficult to imagine PBF saying this.
Tungod, Inabanga, Bohol ? It may sound biblical, but make no mistake about it, there?s nothing biblical when loudmouth, foul mouth, or anything-about-the-mouth Floyd Mayweather, Jr. is involved. He calls himself ?Pretty Boy? and ?Money? when instead he should be called ?Ba-boy? (pig) and ?Crazy?, respectively. His latest chauvinistic tirade even makes himself worthy of induction into the International Hall of Shame, if there is such a place. Perhaps the international governing bodies should build one exclusively for Floyd? he is definitely a ?NO CLASS? of his own!
The funny thing about Floyd is that the more he opens his mouth, the more his insecurities and true feelings show. He calls and considers Manny ?Pacman? Pacquiao a midget, yet the very thought of getting inside the ring with a supposed midget sends shivers down his spine. He loses his grip. What does that make him? a coward? Or even worse? at least we can expect a coward to face a midget in a fistfight. Okay, that?s enough Mayweather banter for the moment. He?s probably had a bunch of those already.
Mayweather rants and raves that he?ll beat Pacquiao easily. Yet, he never runs out of excuses not to fight him. He was the one who set the terms that Pacquiao willfully obliged. He demanded a larger piece of the revenue pie as well as strict drug testing rules. Floyd made a bluff that he thought Manny would never call. His utter underestimation of Pacquiao?s desire, bavery, and guts has put him in a very undesirable position. He?s left with nothing else to do but talk and talk and talk some more.
In all sincerity, these accusations are nothing short of ridiculous. Come to think of it? if we are going to take these allegations seriously just because of the idea that Pacquiao has successfully moved up in weight with relative ease, then we might as well question the legitimacy and greatness of Duran, De La Hoya, Armstrong, and even Robinson, just to name a few. If only Pacquiao?s critics could learn to give credence to the fact that Pacquiao is among if not the most disciplined and hardworking athletes when it comes to training, then they?d almost certainly embrace Pacman?s greatness and in the process save themselves some embarrassment. Just curious, has any of these guys actually witnessed Pacquiao train? Haven?t they heard that Pacquiao is always having much bigger guys, even middleweights, as sparring partners? Have they seen Pacquiao repeatedly beaten by a wooden stick? Perhaps, they should try it, too.
If Mayweather and his cohorts were geared at demeaning Pacquiao in an otherwise concerted attempt to suppress the Filipino firebomb?s astronomical rise in both ranks and popularity, then they have failed? miserably! Manny Pacquiao stands on top of the boxing hill today, while Mayweather and his friends are trying to pull the Pinoy ring legend down. That alone is testament to Mayweather?s inferiority to Pacquiao. How can Mayweather possibly ?pull? Pacquiao down if he were the one on top? Go figure!
