Both camps waiting for direction, more money
Kevin Cunningham: Manager and trainer of Undefeated WBC/IBF junior welterweight champion- “Devon is trying to relax a little bit, he’s only been out of the ring for three weeks. He’s trying to take it easy and spend some time with his family. He’ll start back with strength training this week. Hopefully, if we get this done with Bradley, we’ll start the year off with a bang. From what we understand, Bradley got an offer from his promoter, Gary Shaw, to fight Devon, but we haven’t heard anything from Don King. I don’t know what that means, if not hearing from our promoter is a good or bad thing.”
Tim Bradley: Undefeated WBO junior welterweight champion- “I’m just staying faithful, hanging out with my family and relaxing right now. Just waiting to hear back from my promoter and manager, and see what’s really going on. I really want to have this fight, I think this fight is good for boxing, and great for my career. I’m waiting to hear from my promoters about my next fight, I haven’t heard anything yet. I’m not sure if Devon is going to be my next opponent or not, we’re working on having him be my next opponent for January 29th, but I haven’t heard back from Cameron, my manager yet. I’m still waiting to hear back from the promoters and get this ball rolling.”
