Floyd Mayweather created a little bit of a stir yesterday when news dropped via Robin Leach of Las Vegas Weekly that the superstar fighter is eyeing a return to the ring in the very near future. While it is unknown as of whom Mayweather will be locking horns with, he did tell Leach that instead of once again fighting in Las Vegas that he will be taking his skills to the emirate of Dubai this time around.
Updating his followers from his personal twitter account, Mayweather could be seen over the past few days getting around on his private jet, relaxing on a yacht, playing cards with friends while also flashing a black stone watch and Arab money. There is obviously a lot brewing on from inside Floyd?s camp and he said that an announcement regarding his future will be coming soon.
Rashad Holloway gets ready to hit the Philippines to help Pacquiao prepare for Margarito
Sparring with Manny Pacquiao is no easy task but one man who has reportedly always done well while in combat with the Filipino star is Rashad Holloway. The once-beaten Welterweight hopeful from Cincinnati, Ohio first worked with Pacquiao prior to this December 2008 drubbing of Oscar De La Hoya and in that time he formed a genuine friendship with the General Santos City fighter.
Holloway recently relocated back to Los Angeles, California from Las Vegas and is now working full-time under the guidance of trainer Freddie Roach. Knowing fully well that Holloway has given his prized charge excellent work in the past, Roach has decided to bring the 29-year old over to Manila in the Philippines for the first leg of preparation for Pacquiao?s November 13th bout with Antonio Margarito. The Wild Card crew will be making the trek in mid-September and Holloway seems to be excited.
?Guess who?s coming to the Philippines too?? Holloway tweeted to stable mate and friend Vanes Martirosyan. ?Freddie just told me the other day. Gonna be a lot of fun bro. It?s gonna be a crazy experience.?
Making the trip with Martirosyan and Holloway will be 24-year old Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. who has a December 4th fight with WBA Jr. Middleweight champion Miguel Cotto in the works. The three men will likely serve as the core group of Pacquiao?s sparring for his preparation for Margarito and the work should be vigorous.
