AMERICAN trainer Freddie Roach revealed that Manny Pacquiao?s hard training for his Nov. 13 showdown with Mexican Antonio Margarito at the Dallas Cowboys arena in Texas, will begin in September.
Roach told the telegraph.co.uk Monday that the first half of Pacquiao?s next training camp will be the first two weeks of September in the Philippines, before he leaves for the US.
?I?ll be out in the Philippines from September 11,? said Roach, ?We?ll train there and have four weeks here in Los Angeles, and the last five days, if it ends up in Texas.?
?He [Margarito] is a big, strong guy. I?m not overly worried about him. I?m not a big Margarito fan. Manny will have too much for him. It?s just the size I?m concerned about, and what weight we have it at,? he said.
Roach, the four-time trainer of the year, said he likes to put Pacquiao (51-3-2, with 38 KOs) and Margarito (38-6, with 27 KOs) into a catch weight of 147 lbs between welterweight and junior middleweight.
?You know what kind of size Manny is. He?ll come in at 149 lbs in the ring. He can?t come in heavier than that. Any extra weight would not help him. Manny will start fast with this guy, and we will finish with him fast.?
Meanwhile, Margarito, in an interview by boxingscene.com, said he is ready to fight Pacquiao anywhere even in the Philippines, because he knows he?ll win.
