HBO Boxing star Timothy Bradley pans Amir Khan and Devon Alexander

FRESH from impressing HBO Boxing fans by clearly outscoring dangerous puncher Luis Carlos Abregu in his welterweight debut and his first appearance for the broadcaster, WBO light-welterweight champion Timothy Bradley is looking ahead. The next move could be WBC and IBF title-holder Devon Alexander on January 29 but Bradley?s long-term sights are on WBA king Amir Khan. When asked about Khan?s proposed December 11 clash with Juan Manuel Marquez, Palm Springs? Bradley almost hooted with derision.

?Amir Khan?s going to easily outbox him ? that?s a 36-year-old man!? exclaimed Bradley. ?Khan looked good against Paulie Malignaggi but he ain?t no Tim Bradley. I hear Khan?s been talking about my last performance against a big puncher in Abregu ? him and his trainer [Freddie Roach] ? it don?t bother me at all but if you?re going to talk, put up or shut up, man. I?m ready to face him whenever. Amir knows my number, Roach knows who I am and what I?m capable of doing.?

Despite there clearly being no love lost between the rivals, the 26-year-old insists the Timothy Bradley who engaged in a war or words with the Bolton man on Twitter was a fake.

?That wasn?t me on Twitter, that was a phoney Tim Bradley but whoever that was he sure was sounding like me,? Bradley laughed. ?I was reading the comments and laughing because they were things I would say. He got his cage rattled by a non-Tim Bradley!?

Right now, Bradley?s promoter Gary Shaw is in negotiations with both HBO and Don King regarding a three-title showdown with Alexander. Bradley did not feel Alexander?s recent sub-par performance against Andriy Kotelnik was an indication of a greater malaise, but remains certain his own style has the beating of everyone at 140lbs.

?Maybe Devon had an off night, sometimes you have nights like that, you just can?t get into a rhythm,? Bradley opined. ?But you can?t take anything away from Kotelnik, he executed his gameplan very well and he fought a very solid fight.

?My style can change and vary, depending on the style I?m facing. In my last fight I threw a lot of wide, looping shots but I knew they were going to land. They can?t keep away from me. I might leave myself wide open but I?m quick enough to get away with it. People have their opinions about my style but I keep on winning and that?s what it?s all about.?
