MEXICAN great Erik “El Terrible” Morales is now using Reyes gloves, the same ones used by Manny Pacquiao in knocking out opponents atop the ring.
According to a report by the Fightnews.com, Morales started using Reyes during training under his new trainer, Jose Luis Sr., in Mexico.
Morales and Pacquiao will square off a second time in the “The Battle” card on January 21 at the Thomas and Mack Center in Las Vegas.
When the two first met in March, Morales beat Pacquiao on points, although there was a little controversy regarding the first fight as the Filipino pug was forced to wear Winning gloves, Morales’ favorite.
Meanwhile, Team Pacquiao composed of Gary Shaw, Freddie Roach, Nick Khan and Keith Davidson celebrated Pacquiao’s 27th birthday last Saturday night in Los Angeles.
Pacquiao has been training at the Wild Card gym for the fight, a deviate from their earlier plan to train in Phoenix, Arizona. (
