When you watch Manny Pacquiao fight in the boxing ring, you see a man with blinding speed, and two fists that have very bad intentions. His relentless attack wears down his opponents, and in time they are a bloody mess and ready to quit. When you look at this guy fight you see a guy that has every intention on inflicting as much damage on his opponent as humanly possible.
Before Manny gets into the ring he is a completely different person. When you look at Manny before his fight you will see a man in prayer. You will see a man in some cases in a corner on his knees praying to God.
Pacquiao is a very spiritual man. God comes first in Manny’s life, he’s a God fearing man. Even when Manny is in training at the Wild Card Gym in Hollywood, before he trains the music is shut off, and the entire gym bows in prayer as Manny prays.
After Manny’s fights, he gives the glory to God first. Manny is a God fearing Christian man, and he does not take for granted the many blessing that he enjoys in his life.
I have known Manny Pacquiao for about 7 years now. I have never heard this man curse. I have never heard this man degrade or insult any other fighter. His Christian values are clear and he leads by example.
You don’t even have to be a Pacquiao fan to like him. I spoke with some boxing fans in Mississippi how they felt toward Pacquiao and his religious beliefs. I spoke to Brian Vega of Jackson, Mississippi about Pacquiao and this is what he said, ” Manny Pacquiao has single handed taken boxing on his back and brought it back from the dead. His faith in God is also obvious.”
While covering the Showtime boxing card from Southaven, I spoke to Scott King another fan of Pacquiao, ” He’s a good Christian fellow, and a boxing great inside of the ring. Not many people like Pacquiao come along in life.”
You have to respect a guy that puts so much faith into God. Pacquiao’s faith in God is very obvious.
