In a recent interview conducted by Telegraph Sport, popular UK Boxing Promoter Frank Warren spoke out on the fight everyone wants to see, Floyd “Money” Mayweather Jr. vs. Manny “Pacman” Pacquiao.
Warren believes the fight will eventually happen because the money is just to big to ignore. In regards to who Warren feels would win should the two ever face-ff, Warren favors “Money” Mayweather.
In regards to who Warren feels would win between Mayweather vs. Pacquiao, Warren stated: “If you asked me to pick a winner I would favor Mayweather.?
Explaining why he would favor Mayweather over Pacquiao, Warren went on to tell the Publication: “I think Mayweather is a natural counter puncher, although Pacquiao is a tremendous puncher, very fast, but?he can be hit.” Warren added: “If I was a bookmaker, I would make Mayweather the favorite.”
However Warren isn’t counting Pacquiao out, and believes the fight should be interesting, especially when he factors in what he witnessed in “Sugar” Shane Mosley turning up the heat in the second round when he faced Mayweather.
“You see Mayweather clipped a couple of times in that second round by a 38-year-old Mosley, and you wonder if it was the other fella (Pacquiao) throwing the punches, could it have been different,” stated Warren, adding: “So?it?s interesting.”
