Alex Arthur has been offered the opportunity of sparring with Manny Pacquiao in preparation for his February 18 clash with Ricky Burns.
European, Commonwealth and British super-featherweight champion Arthur takes on his fellow Scot in Edinburgh in the new year.
But he may spend some of the festive period in LA in order to spar Pacquiao, who has held world titles at flyweight, bantamweight and featherweight.
He tackles Erik Morales on January 21 in a WBC super-featherweight title eliminator – and is keen on enlisting the services of Arthur.
“Freddie Roach phoned me and offerd me the chance, but I don’t know whether I will go or not,” said Arthur.
“I need to speak to the people around me and Frank Warren and decide whether it is the right thing to do at this stage of my career.”
