Is Super Judah Back?- Zab Judah looked very sharp in tearing Santa Cruz apart on Friday Night. Zab Judah fired out the type of jab that he should have always stayed with in all past fights. Zab displayed great footwork in circling out at just the right time. To the naked eye it would seem that Judah just fired off an upper cut that spelled doom for Santa Cruz. Thing is that Judah set that up mentally about 30 seconds before the fatal blow. The Judah that I saw on Friday night is a smarter fighter that can set up traps mentally then go out and execute it just as he had pictured it in his head. Before the fight started, I predicted that Judah would close out the show with an upper cut because I see on tape that Santa Cruz at times hangs his head when he throws his right, maybe this new Super Judah studied the tape and saw the exact same thing. I know that the Judah that fought Santa Cruz would give anyone at 140 hell but keep in mind that the new improved Judah with his God Speed that we saw Friday night, was a Judah that weighed in at 141. What will happen when Judah is forced to make 140 against Khan, Bradley, or Alexander? Many of you will say, give me a break it?s only a pound, well to fighters a single pound can make a world of a difference. Especially to a fighter in his 30?s. The thing I want to see is if this Judah can stay dedicated for the full ride. What will this Judah look like when his 2nd wind kicks in? If I?m Judah, I go after Bradley at 147 or call out Andre Berto.
Desert Storm!- I thought that Timothy Bradley looked fairly good at 147 last night in his target practice win last night over Carlos Abregu. Sure Bradley got hit a few times that he shouldn?t have, but that was because he got careless in there and felt the need to entertain the fans. This is very common especially for fighters fighting at home and making a debut in a new weight class. The few punches that did land on Bradley, showed me that he can take a heavy punch at 147. Even though I see Bradley as the best 140 pounder in the world, I mean truth be told, I see Khan having the best chance at beating Bradley at 140. I think the world of Alexander, but I can see Bradley adjusting to what Alexander does a lot easier than he would be able to adjust to the style of Khan. I could be wrong, but that?s just the way I feel. So is Bradley ready for Pacquiao? I believe that at 140 Bradley would have hope but at 147 the answer would be NO. Just because Bradley can take Abregu?s best shot does not mean that he can take a Pacquiao bomb. Here is what I know, I know that I loved the way Bradley ended his post fight interview with Max Kellerman by saying that he wants Pacquiao, but then he ended the interview by saying that there is un finished business at 140 so anyone at 140 can come and get it. I loved that Bradley said that because I feel that Bradley is more than ready for all the big names at 140, I just don?t see Bradley ready for the 2 huge names at 147 in Pacquiao and Mayweather Jr. If I?m Bradley and if I stay at 147, I do this: I would take Alfonso Gomez or a Selcuk Aydin in October then have a Cali Brawl against Shane Mosley early next year. The King of Cali vs. the Prince of Cali.
