This writer is up on a vigil with his friends at the house of Jimmy H in Taylor. This is our version of TGIF night out while waiting for Bob Arum?s scheduled conference call regarding the Mayweather- Pacquiao megafight. The crowd is a motley crew of Asians, Caucasians, African- Americans and Latinos; all Michiganders, all boxing fans.
The food is plenty, the booze is flowing and the discussion free-for- all. Anything and anybody is fair game. Until Hank S of Southgate hijacked the topic to Twilight, Eclipse and Werewolves while Graham V of Romulus told us about his future plan of exploring the dark side.
This writer also contributed some and told them that the Mayweather- Pacquiao megafight has some supernatural innuendos and numerology connections which they asked me to share. And it goes like this-
Bob Arum or the people at Top Rank may not be aware when they put the ?Money? Time: Mayweather?s Decision clock on their website for the benefit of the Mayweather- Pacquiao megafight watchers whose deadline is at midnight PT/ 3 am ET that in a way, they are sending some subliminal messages with regards to the mega fight.
We don?t know if the people at Top Rank know a thing or two about the dark side nor if they are disciples of the esoteric or the arcane. But the deadline that Bob Arum has given to Floyd Mayweather, Jr. refers to the ?Witching hour? which is from midnight to 3 am.
Incidentally, 3 am is also known as the devil?s hour. The witching hour is also known where black magic is most effective and the forces of darkness at their most powerful.
The deadline of 12 MN/ 3 am PT/ET has some supernatural as well as numerical correlations to the occult, which was derived from the Latin word occultus (secret) and when translated to English as ?knowledge of the hidden? means only one thing, the people of Top Rank may have been privy to some information that they are not at a liberty to divulge to the public before the deadline.
Was the deadline done on purpose so as to give the Mayweather- Pacquiao mega fight watchers a subtle clue that the people at Top Rank know more about the real issue of the megafight than meets the eye?
Does this mean that the Mayweather- Pacquiao megafight is on?
We can only hope so.
But let us not take the esoteric connection too seriously. Whether we believe in the occult and esoteric is immaterial. The boxing fans in Michigan as well as all over the world just want a Mayweather- Pacquiao fight.
