THEY simply just can’t get enough of Manny Pacquiao.
The boxing star and Ms. International Precious Lara Quigaman will take special positions when the Philippine delegation makes its grand walk during Sunday evening’s elaborate rites signaling the start of the 23rd Southeast Asian Games at the Quirino Grandstand.
The addition of Pacquiao and Quigaman to the parade is an eleventh hour decision aimed at adding luster to this weekend’s ostentatious event.
Lito Nadal, executive producer of the opening and closing rites, revealed that after the Philippine placard, Pacquiao, Quigaman and even actress Angel Locsin — clad in Darna outfit — would come in next followed by flag-carrier Mike Cojuangco-Jaworski.
Pacquiao is currently in Cebu to work out for three days in preparation for his Jan. 21 rematch with Erik Morales at the Thomas and Mack Center in Las Vegas. Pacquiao is booked to fly to Los Angeles for training proper on Dec. 1 or 2.
