I have heard it all. I have heard that Mayweather is too smart. I have heard that Mayweather is too big. I have heard that Mayweather’s defense is too good. I have heard that Manny is too small, and I have heard that Manny’s defense is not good enough. With all of that said, I think Manny Pacquiao can not only beat Mayweather, but I think it’s possible that he can knockout Mayweather.
Some of you (especially Mayweather fans) will read this and think I am crazy for such a bold prediction. I have seen Pacquiao up close and personal on several occasions now. I have seen how he trains, and the world has seen him destroy bigger opponents. Pacquiao’s speed is ridiculous, and he is a two handed punching machine. Pacquiao’s punches have very bad intentions, and he throws a lot of them. Fighting Pacquiao is like someone throwing 30 running chainsaws at you at the same time.
Floyd has NEVER been in there against a guy of Pacquiao’s caliber. Everyone talks (including me) about how much bigger and stronger Mayweather Jr is. Evander Holyfield in an interview that I did with him a few weeks ago said it best, “It’s not always the guy that has the mostskills that wins. It’s the guy with the most heart.”

Pacquiao will be in there against by far the most skilled fighter in his entire career, but the same thing can be said the other way around. Mayweather has never ever faced a guy as fast and as durable as Manny Pacquiao. It’s very possible that Manny because of his superior conditioning will eventually break down Floyd’s defense. It’s sort of like what my dad used to tell me when I was a kid. He said, “Son, if we ever (America) have to go to war with China, we will probably run out of bullets before we can kill them all.” The same concept perhaps applies to Mayweather if he had to defend against Pacquiao. Manny throws so many punches that Floyd may not be able to defend against them for the full 12 rounds. Sooner or later the walls may begin to crumble, and the Pacman may crash the gate.
Yes folks, it’s possible that Manny can not only win, but he may just knock the money man out.
