Now, if Bob Arum is to be believed, Manny Pacquiao had agreed to everything including the contentious random blood testing that was the giant obstacle in the past negotiations for the proposed megafight.
The irrepressible boxing promoter has even added that Manny Pacquiao?s camp doesn?t care whoever will conduct the tests so long as Floyd Mayweather, Jr. signs on the dotted line to make the fight happen.
The report is actually nothing new since the boxing grapevine have been abuzz weeks ago about Manny Pacquiao?s supposed capitulation from his hardline stance regarding the drug testing issue so that he and Floyd Mayweather, Jr. can face each other inside the ring come November 13.
But Bob Arum?s pronouncements have been met with nothing but conspicuous silence from the camp of Floyd Mayweather, Jr. The silence from the usually boisterous Floyd Mayweather, Jr.?s camp is quite deafening. This is not the kind of response that we expect from someone who proclaims himself as a shrewd businessman. Yes, it will be incomprehensible for Floyd Mayweather, Jr, to ?walk away from a $25 million fight.?
But the silence is really surprising especially for a fighter who is known for his bold claims and braggadocio to just let the days go by without a single word from his camp to air his side regarding the recent claims of Bob Arum about the so-called contract that was sent to him earlier.
And his fans in this side of town are not happy about it although they remain hopeful that the pride of Grand Rapids will man up and summon the courage to make boxing?s biggest extravaganza happen by November.
