An angry Freddie Roach, the ace American trainer who is credited with having turned Manny Pacquiao into a legitimate boxing hero and a world champion, has branded promoter Murad Muhammad a thief.
Roach also made it clear he was disgusted and angry over how Pacquiao was being defrauded by Murad and is ready to quit if the Filipino champion and business manager Rod Nazario continue to deal with Murad.
In a lengthy overseas telephone conversation with Viva Sports, Roach said he had been trying unsuccessfully to get in touch with Pacquiao to advise him not to negotiate with HBO for a title fight against World Boxing Association/International Boxing Federation featherweight champion Juan Manuel Marquez.
?It doesn?t make sense fighting the best guy in the division who is not even well known in the US,? said Roach.
