Former 135 pound champion, Jose Luis Castillo, who was last seen on the Pacquiao/Clottey PPV undercard getting savagely beaten, before quitting against Alfonso Gomez, has returned to the ring. After that bout, he told the boxing world that he planned to retire, but there has apparently been a change of plans.
Castillo elected to return to action last Friday at the Auditorio Municipal in Tijuana, Baja California. He won an 8-round unanimous decison over Roberto Valenzuela. It was Castillo’s 60th career victory versus 10 losses and 1 draw. The fight took place at 142 pounds.
