MANILA, Philippines ? ?Mommy? Dionisia Pacquiao thanked the heavens for the political victory of her son 7-division champion Manny Pacquiao in the elections in Sarangani province.
Dionisia, who will be turning 61 on Saturday, said Pacquiao?s poll victory was her birthday wish ?from above?.
?Hiningi ko sa Panginoon, ‘Sana Lord ibigay niyo sa akin, ibigay niyo sa birthday ko ang panalo ni Manny sa Kongreso?,? she revealed.
Dionisia said she fervently prayed for the congressional seat win because she saw how much her son wanted to be a politician.
She said that after Pacquiao was already sure of the landslide victory: ?Masaya siya, masaya kaming lahat.?
The final tally that came out Thursday night saw Pacquiao getting 120,052 votes over political rival Roy Chiongbian who got 60,899.
Now that Pacquiao is officially a ?congressman?, the boxer?s clan will hold a double celebration: Dionisia?s 61st birthday and her son?s political victory.
Dionesia already had her apple green gown and her dancing shoes made for the occasion which expects at least 1,000 guests.
The double celebration will take place at the KCC Convention Center in General Santos City.
