If this fight were going to happen in November, it would have gone ahead and already happened in March rather than Manny Pacquiao vs. Joshua Clottey taking place.
I”m hoping it still happens while both fighters are technically still in there primes (before reaching age 34) as promoter Bob Arum is attempting by his November attempt. I’ll even give Mayweather an additional six months since he took off 22 months.
The problem is still on the Mayweather side. It’s the ridiculous blood – testing he is demanding above and beyond what either Nevada and Texas demand.
We will know the results of the congressional election in in Saranjani before any of these other results are in.
Mayweather and his per – fight – promoter Golden Boy (Oscar De La Hoya and Richard Schaefer) might still agree to a 50-50 split on all revenues but they want this fight in Las Vegas, Nevada where they are most comfortable.
They don’t want to come to Texas and they are poisoning Mayweather’s mind that way even though he would make less money obviously in a 16,500 seat arena than a 110,000 seat facility. How can Mayweather not see this? What is Golden Boy hiding? How are they doing it so well?
None of this is really new information to those that have been following this for at least the past six months.
It might be wrong for Manny Pacquiao promoter Bob Arum and even Cowboys Stadium owner Jerry Jones to get the troops all wound up when nothing new is out there to announce and now both Pacquiao and Mayweather have defeated opponents and neither has blinked.
So let’s get through the election and see where we stand next week!
For this fight to happen in November, Golden Boy and Mayweather will have had to cave in on virtually every demand. I don’t see that happening.
