PHOTOS 1: MGM – Behind the Scenes PHOTOS 2: Fight – Behind the Scenes The hotel and casino was packed with athletes and celebrities (See List), fans, and media from around the U.S. and from several countries. Boxing greats Sugar Ray Leonard and Thomas Hearns held a press conference before the fight and recalled their encounters inside the ring during the 1980s. Leonard considers “The Hitman” as the hardest puncher he has ever faced. On fight night, several celebrities were spotted in the walkway leading up to the MGM Grand Arena, including retired New York Giants defensive end Michael Strahan, Sugar Ray Leonard, Roger Mayweather, former welterweight champion Zab Judah, and Atlanta Falcons tight end Tony Gonzalez, among numerous others. After the fight, clubs inside the MGM Grand including Tabu and Studio 54 were packed with fight fans, hotel guests, and a few celebrities.
