Floyd Mayweather Jr is Boxing’s Best, Not Manny Pacquiao

It what I can only consider shocking and unreasonable, the Ring Magazine is sticking by Manny Pacquiao as the Pound for Pound Best. Their reasoning is basically they are more impressed with Pacquiao’s opponents…. which in my honest opinion is a huge a crock of sh!t!

Anyone with half a brain can tell you who has the better skills, and when comparing records, Mayweather’s is far superior. Mayweather never lost to Erik Morales as Pacquiao did, nor did he struggle against Juan Manuel

Marquez as Pacquiao has (Twice). Mayweather just beat the man who beat Antonio Margarito who beat Miguel Cotto.

I can go on and on why it is obvious “Money” Mayweather is pound for pound the best, but simply put, every damn expert worth a spit can tell you who is a better skilled fighter. There is no question about it. I don’t need to spilt hairs over records to tell you who has better skills on the pound for pound level.

Look, I am a huge fan of the Ring Magazine. In no way would I even consider dropping my subscription over this… But I am disappointed very much by their latest ratings updates. Shame on them… No excuse. I really believe in my heart that the Publication knows they got it wrong. I think they know they will have a hard time defending keeping Pacquiao at the top of their list…. but mostly I think they have that little voice inside their heads saying over and over… You know damn right Mayweather is more Skillful pound for pound.

I still love the Ring Magazine, I really do… but c’mon guys… don’t publish something so silly in your name!

I am proud to say however that the BBC from the UK has gotten it right with their latest updated pound for pound list.

The BBC rates the top 10 as follows: 1. Floyd Mayweather – Welterweight United States (41-0, 25KOs)

Manny Pacquiao 2. Manny Pacquiao – Welterweight Philippines (51-3-2, 38KOs)

3. Juan Manuel Marquez 4. Bernard Hopkins 5. Shane Mosley 6. Miguel Cotto 7. Israel Vazquez 8. Chad Dawson 9. Paul Williams 10. Juan Manuel Lopez
