Is Floyd Mayweather really deserving of the name “Kentucky Fraud Duckweather”? Is he really such a cherry-picker that he would actually pass on the biggest payday of his career just to protect his immaculate record? Is he shaking with fear every time he hears the name Manny Pacquiao?
Let’s face it. Probably not.
We’re talking about 25 to 40 million dollars here. Who on earth would refuse to fight Pacquiao for that kind of green?
Most of us would fight Pacquiao and Mayweather simultaneously for a heck of a lot less than that.
It wouldn’t hurt for long, and the medical bills wouldn’t even put a dent in such a heavily padded bank account.
In an interview with G. Leon of Boxingtalk.com, Pacquiao stated once again that he believes that Mayweather is afraid to fight him. That’s actually a wise statement on his part.
Pacquiao most likely knows that the fight will eventually happen, and boxing is almost as much about the hype as it is about the actual fight.
Fear?
Floyd Mayweather has plenty of reason to be confident. He’s never come close to losing a bout. He’s won every fight by KO or UD, with the exception of one.
Oscar De La Hoya somehow managed the great privilege of being the only fighter to LOSE to Mayweather by split decision, and the one judge who somehow saw De La Hoya winning was way off.
If Mayweather isn’t afraid of Pacquiao, then why all the shenanigans?
Simple.
Mayweather appreciates his haters as much as he appreciates his die-hard fans. It doesn’t really matter to him if people pay to watch him win, or if they pay in hopes of watching him lose–as long as they pay.
At the end of the day, it’s all money for “Money”.
He continues to stir up a lot of hate and discontent with his insults toward Pacquiao. This all just sets the stage for the biggest fight the sport has seen in decades.
No matter what anyone says, a 25 to 40 million dollar check will be too much for Mayweather to pass up.

Pacquiao is picking Mosley over Mayweather, but he made an interesting statement about the possibility of a bout between Mayweather and himself.
“Mayweather still has to beat Mosley if he wants to fight me. In all my fights, I never predict the outcome,” Pacquiao said. “If a knockout presents itself, I will take it but I think, should Mayweather ever challenge me, it will be a fight between the greatest offense against the best defense in the sport of boxing.”
Well said. That is absolute truth.
Does that really sound like a statement from a guy who thinks the fight will never happen? Think about it.
Fred Logue of Knob Hill, Arkansas, is a former amateur trainer for the Knob Hill, and Springdale Boxing Clubs. Logue has trained two national champions.
On Monday evening, I asked Logue if he feels that Mayweather is afraid to face Pacquiao.
“I think Mayweather’s just waiting on a little bigger payday. I don’t think he’s afraid of Pacquiao, but I don’t think he can beat him, “Logue said. “That Pacquiao’s tough. He was raised on the back streets. I realize that Mayweather was too, but he just ain’t what he’s cut out to be, I don’t think.”
When asked about his thoughts on Mayweather-Mosley, Logue said:
“Mosley will give Mayweather a pretty decent fight for two or three rounds, but Mayweather will beat him pretty easy, I think. If there’s a stoppage, Mayweather will be the one that stops it.”
If Mayweather does defeat Mosley as easily as Logue thinks he will, there will be no interest in a rematch, and without sufficient interest in a second bout, the way for Pacquiao-Mayweather will be paved.
Get ready boxing fans.
Be patient.
The only thing that Floyd Mayweather likes more than that nice zero on his record is money.
The fight the world wants to see is going to happen.
