So the buzz amongst internet boxing circles a few weeks back was about Ed “Tough Guy” Keenan threatening website Fighthype.com in reference to their round-by-round coverage of the Roy Jones Jr.-Bernard Hopkins rematch.
Here are the details surrounding the incident.
So now that it’s out there in the open as to how stringent “Oregon Trail” Ed is when it comes to credentials, it must be documented that it seems as though “OT” has once again failed at doing his job.
Actually… I’m not quite sure as to exactly what this moron’s job is.
While he threatened a reputable site like Fighthype.com by possibly denying them credentials to any of “his” fights, he has apparently allowed a guy by the name of Bradley Orengo into the recent Martinez-Pavlik fight. Bradley Orengo forged his affiliation with a website and was let into the fight as part of the “media” when he has absolutely no affiliation with any boxing website to date.
If “OT” Ed was a little more focused on his job (I’m still not sure what he does), maybe he would have caught on to the fact that Bradley Orengo shouldn’t have been credentialed for the event.
It just amazes me that the highly intelligent (obvious sarcasm) Keenan would make such a mistake.
It’s just another instance of Ed “Oregon Trail” Keenan failing.
I e-mailed this directly to Ed just so he knows that somebody is keeping track of how shitty he’s doing at his job.
PS. The “Oregon Trail” nickname is derived from the fact that Keenan’s website looks as it was designed during the era of the oregon trail video game back in the 1980s. Want to take a look? http://www.emcevents.com/
