Baseball is a sport where players such as Jamie Moyer, Randy Johnson and Cal Ripken are able to play well into their 40?s. Boxing on the other hand retires people in their mid 30?s. Actually, boxing is a sport that should retire athletes in their mid 30?s, but we all know that fighters rarely retire when they should. Or should I say great boxers either stick around too long or rarely stay retired. The list of boxers that have come back after retiring is endless; Sugar Ray Leonard, Roberto Duran, Larry Holmes, George Foreman, Bernard Hopkins, Thomas Hearns, and Evander Holyfield immediately come to mind. That?s partly the reason that Marvin Hagler is so unique and has such a mystique about him.
