Sure, It’s nice to rent a PPV boxing match or UFC fight at your home. The main complaint from just about everyone is the price the promotion/cable companies charge for these things.
“$50 to watch a fight just wont fly with the wife anymore. Especially in these tough times” say’s Boston fight fan, Jose Geriade.
“ I would go to a bar to watch it but even they are cutting back on the amount of events and boxing Pay Per View is almost non-existent.”
Some Boston bars charge as much as $20 to gain entry into these events. The Sports Depot in Allston, MA. Usually has the bigger fights on closed circuit and charges a $15 per person admission.
I would say this is a fair deal for Boxing fans but the complaints are flying even still.
“$15 isn’t a lot of money, but when you figure in the drinks and food you can easily spend $100. I can stay home and buy it if that’s the case.” Another Bostonian responds.
Have faith Boxing fans, There is one joint in town that houses the Pacquiao vs Clottey this Saturday night. And guess what. A Real boxing fan owns the place and it may not even cost you a buck-five.
21 Nickles bar in grill in Watertown is very cool (medium sized) sports bar with unique interior. A train car to be exact. It is the perfect place to soak some up some suds and watch a good brawl.

Gavin understands all to well how the economy is effecting peoples choices for entertainment these days. That’s why he offers no cover charge for tonight’s event providing that you are in the door before 9PM. After 9PM there is only a $5.00 cover.
