After another successful training day at the Wild Card Gym, Manny Pacquiao does what he does. He finished training, changes, and heads to dinner with his team. Today was a little bit different though. As Manny was signing autographs from his dinner table, he was handed a cell phone. On the other line was someone who knows a thing or two about boxing himself.
You see, that other legend was none other than Roy Jones Jr. How do I know this? Well firstly, it was my phone that Manny was using, and it was me who got Roy on the line. Upon hearing Roy’s voice, Manny’s big smile widened. It was a great moment for two legends of the sport to share. Roy and Manny spoke for a few minutes, exchanging mad respect for one another. Both men congratulated each other on their brilliant boxing careers. Roy and Manny both said that it was an honor to speak with one another.
Pacquiao asked if Roy was coming to Dallas for his fight, and Roy said that he would try to. Both men shared a few laughs, and the conversation was over with.
