8CountNews caught up with the new WBO NABO Jr middleweight champion Shawn Porter. Shawn captured his first title against a very tough Russell Jordan last night on ESPN FNF’s in front of a capacity hometown crowd. Also joining the Podcast is Shawn’s father and trainer Kenny Porter. Coach Porter shares his thoughts on Shawn’s performance. Promoted by Prize Fight Promotions, Porter showed the country that he’s a real 10 round fighter, and a real prospect that will surely make a run at a world title in the near future. Porter had the honor of sparring with the pound for pound king Manny Pacquiao in 2009. The experience gained from that showed last night as Porter was faced with a very game opponent.
