LOS ANGELES — Right after he works out at the Wild Card Boxing Club in Hollywood on Monday, Manny Pacquiao would head straight back to his apartment at the Palazzo and spend most of the available free time secluded in his room.
“I would just like to focus even more because the fight is less than a week from now,” Pacquiao said on Sunday after attending mass services at Christ The King in Rossmore Ave.
Before leaving with his gang on board a Lincoln Navigator and a BMW 5-Series driven by adviser Joe Ramos, Pacquiao received a special blessing from the priest who celebrated the mass at the entrance of the church.
As much as possible, Pacquiao would like to limit the time he spends answering questions from the media for three straight days. Last week, he held an open media workout at the Wild Card.
“I will just come out again on Thursday (during the press conference at the Wilshire Grand Hotel),” said Pacquiao.
The official weigh in will be held at Staples Center on Friday afternoon.
