Based on Mayweather?s track record, there shouldn?t be any surprise when he denies responsibility for the failed negotiations with Manny Pacquiao. But, the depths of his denial seem to know no limitations. Let?s examine some of the comments that Mayweather has made over the last few days about the mega-fight being off.
– Mayweather puts all blame on Pacquiao ?Throughout this whole process I have remained patient but at this point I am thoroughly disgusted that Pacquiao and his representatives are trying to blame me for the fight not happening when clearly the blame is on them,” .. “In my opinion it is Manny Pacquiao and his team who are denying the people a chance to see the biggest fight ever,”
Please tell me how Mayweather and his camp has been patient when they tried to smear Pacquiao in the media and make ignorant accusations that Pacquiao might have taken performance enhancing drugs.
Mayweather has never cared about the people. It?s always been about him and the money. Now, all of a sudden we are supposed to believe that Pacquiao is the one that cares more about himself than his fans. If it walks and talks like a duck then it must be a duck. If you have a history of controversy and always blame others then why would we believe that Mayweather is innocent now?
– Mayweather says Pacquiao doesn?t want to take the tests ?The truth is he just doesn’t want to take the tests.”
First of all, why is there such a push to take these Olympic style tests when typically the state?s athletic commissions regulates the testing and just about every fighter adheres to their tests? Also, if Pacquiao didn?t want to take the tests then why did he agree to take these tests but just not on the days that Mayweather?s camp wanted.
– Mayweather implies that Pacquiao doesn?t want to fight him ?Manny needs to stop making his excuses, step up and fight.”
I?ve never seen Pacquiao back away from a fight. In fact, Mayweather has been mired in controversy for the last several years including accusations of him hand-picking his fights and not taking on fighters that many boxing ?experts? say Mayweather might lose to like Pacquiao or Mosely.
The more I read about Mayweather, the more I learn that this man is all about himself and the money. If a guy can be that selfish and greedy, then why would any intelligent individual think anything other than Mayweather never accepts responsibility.
