Mayweather wanted to defer Pacquiao showdown

Where is Madam Auring, the rotund Pinay psychic, when I need her?

If only the omniscient one could tell me what the future holds for Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather.

I still bet they fight each other before 2010 turns into 2011.

This may be one of those columns I have to rip apart 40 minutes after posting but…

WHY MANNY, FLOYD AREN’T FIGHING ON MARCH 13:

1. Mayweather wants one more tuneup before Pacman. By demanding random blood testing, his team knew Manny would balk. So they get what they wanted in Mayweatherville which is a bout against Paulie Malignaggi or some other much easier, much smaller foe. We all know how Floyd loves to engage in dwarf tossing.

2. Maybe Bob Arum’s bluff on random blood tests was called by Golden Boy and he was not prepared for that. Still, Top Rank has a much better bullpen than GBP, so it is come on down, Yuri Foreman.

3. Mayweather camp believes it can petition Nevada commission to put random blood testing and random urine testing into its rules and regulations before a fight against Pacman next autumn.

4. Both camps felt a bit rushed for the March 13 date but especially Megamanny who did get a crumpled ear from the punches of Miguel Cotto. Also getting ready for Foreman, still green around the gills at the big fight level, is less stressful than prepping for a Mayweather match.

5. Golden Boys don’t mind the old bait and switch because if their Shane Mosley beats Andre Berto jan. 30, they then have two Pacman foes in L’il Floyd and Sugar Shane. I think they know, though, that Mayweather will never fight Mosley in their respective lifetimes.

Why do you say the fight blew up, who is to blame?
