So we all now know that Manny Pacquiao has taken a blood test less than 30 days before a fight. The newest findings show that on an episode of Pacquiao/Hatton 24/7, Pacquiao was shown taking a routine blood test for his pre-fight medical exam. Exactly How many days before the fight was that blood drawn on? Well, that is still to be determined.
We as of now know that Manny has no problem taking the blood test, I mean obviously #1. He passed the test, and #2. not only did he pass the drug test, but he also was able to smash Hatton inside 2 rounds.
At this point, I have a feeling that the only reason why Pacquiao will not take additional tests is for the simple fact that Pacquiao does not want to bow down to Floyds demands. I mean let’s face it, why should he have to? Floyd is already getting a 50/50 split, I and many others feel Floyd doesn’t even deserve that much.
This year, Floyd already made a mockery out of the so called Marquez fight catchweight. For the entire Mayweather/Marquez promotion, not one single person could tell us the exact catchweight limit for the proposed fight, and why? All that, just to please Floyd. So now Floyd again wants to make his own set of rules and regulations and expects the Nevada Athletic Commision to bend over backwards for him and rewrite new rules? Give me a break.
At this point, as much as I want to see this fight take place, If I were Pacquiao, I would say no Floyd and move on to a fight against Paulie Malignaggi. If Pac-Man is to defeat Paulie, I would then fight Mosley [assuming Mosley beats Berto come January, which will be no easy feat for the SugarMan], If not Mosley, then a clash against Timothy Bradley would also be great.
Many will view a Pacquiao/Malignaggi fight as simply just a tune-up, but I am here to tell you that Paulie has the speed and ring smarts to time the Pac-Monster and create the type of distance that Pacquiao has never seen. I am not saying that Paulie will upset Pacquiao, but I’m also not saying that Pacquiao will crush Paulie either. Before we even start talking outcomes, we need to first get something in dry ink, because talk has gotten us nowhere fast, real fast. It’s a bloody mess I tell ya, a bloody mess.
