Manny Pacquiao’s promoter Bob Arum said he is ready to sign a deal with Paulie Malignaggi to face Pacquiao on March 13 if the Mayweather camp fails to accept his last offer. He said ‘the deal will take about one hour to make’. Arum said Mayweather has until Monday to accept the deal. The offer remains essentially the same — Pacquiao will submit to unlimited urine tests while agreeing to blood tests in January and as many as two more no later than 30 days before the fight. SI.com reports: The new wrinkle to the offer is that Arum is proposing a hearing be held on Jan. 19 in front of the Nevada Athletic Commission to determine whether additional blood tests are necessary. “This is unprecedented,” said Arum. “Our expert says blood tests are ridiculous. But we will let the commission decide. They are the governing body.” Negotiation for the Pacquiao-Mayweather boxing match tentatively set for MArch 13, has remained suspended on the issue of blood and urine testing. Floyd Mayweather and his team earlier demanded that urine and blood tests be done at random by the US Anti Doping Agency (USADA) to determine if Pacquiao is indeed taking performance enhancing drugs as earlier alleged by the senior Mayweather. Pacquiao initially refused, claiming that blood samples drawn days before the fight will weaken him, but later consented to have the test done in three stages, one on the second week of January, another 30 days before the fight and the last right after the fight. Bob Arum has given the Mayweather camp until Monday to accept his last offer or he will sign up with Paulie Malignaggi to face Pacquiao for the Mach 13 fight in Las Vegas.
