Pacquiao Vs Mayweather: Mayweather and Blood Test Controversy Could Be Solved

Paquiao vs Mayweather could be back on, as the Mayweather camp could be backing down from their previous requirement that the Pac Man submit to Olympic-style drug testing. Although there’s still no word that he Pacquiao Vs Mayweather: Mayweather and Blood Test Controversy Could Be Solved Date: December 27, 2009 landmark fight will take place on March Pacquiao Vs Mayweather: Mayweather and Blood Test Controversy Could Be Solved Date: December 27, 2009 13th in Las Vegas as previously planned, fans on both sides are very anxious to see what is going to take place.

Floyd Mayweather previously wanted his opponent, Manny Pacquiao to succumb to Olympic Style drug testing, which would require a significant amount of blood to be drawn. The issue with this is that the Pac Man feels that having his blood drawn weakens him. His fans think that Mayweather’s insistence on this type of testing was a way to “psych out” his opponent.

On the other hand, fans from other side think that Manny’s refusal to submit to the requested testing indicated that in some way he had something to hide. After all – their fighter was willing to do the same type of testing.

Olympic Style drug testing performed by the US Anti Doping Agency (USADA) isn’t required in Nevada for fights. It is said that Pacquiao is willing to undergo the testing required in Nevada. However, his opponent points out that such testing will not indicate whether or not the fighters are using human growth hormone treatments.

Tensions heated up after Mayweather posted a statement on his Web site about his opponent’s resistance to the testing. His opponent saw the statements as slanderous, and mentioned that he was considering suing Mayweather and his father. Tensions are really rising, which gives birth to the theory that the two fighters are just orchestrating this back-and-forth in order to drum up anticipation of the pending fight.

It looks like there could be a fight after all. It was just announced that Richard Schaefer told ESPN’s Dan Rafael that Mayweather is willing to back down on his original requirement that blood testing be done according to Pacquiao Vs Mayweather: Mayweather and Blood Test Controversy Could Be Solved Date: December 27, 2009 USADA guidelines. He states that “What we’re saying, and what is Pacquiao Vs Mayweather: Mayweather and Blood Test Controversy Could Be Solved Date: December 27, 2009 important to us, is four things – that the tests be random, that they include blood and urine and the time frame, meaning when do you stop the tests before the fight but know they will still be effective. Three of them we have agreed on – random, blood and urine. So now it is a matter of the two sides working out the specifics of the cutoff date to assure it will still be effective.”

What’s going to happen? Will Pacquiao vs. Mayweather finally occur? Fans are anxious to find out, and there should be a press conference sometime around the first part of January to discuss the fight. If everything is a go, then March 13 will be the date, and Las Vegas will be the place.
