As Pacquiao and Mayweather turns

Los Angeles — Post-holiday check-in for boxing’s newest soap opera… “As Pacquiao – Mayweather Turns”…

My last communicade was following the announcement that Manny Pacquiao would not agree the time line of the blood tests associated with Floyd Mayweather Junior’s request for a much more stringent anti-drug test in relation to their proposed March 13, 2010 fight.

On Christmas Eve, Team Pacquiao releases an information bulletin letting media members know that Floyd Mayweather’s team and Golden Boy Promotions would be served with a lawsuit due to the slander and liable they had been throwing Manny’s way in regards to the alleged use of performance enhancing drugs.

As we went to bed, the boxing collective must have thought what negative karma we had put out into the Universe as a community – the fight that the world really wanted, was breaking apart at the seams like an Old Navy shirt.

The fight we had celebrated as an early X-mas gift days before was turning into a lump of coal in our stockings.

Then the vultures and pariahs swooped in.

If Manny would not fight, surely opportunistic promoter Gary Shaw would throw in his junior welterweight standout Timothy Bradley into the ring. Shaw, nor Bradley would require a blood test. For the matter, they would allow Pacquiao to use any performing enhancing drug, along with plastered mitts, Shaw could land his fighter a mega Manny payday.

One of boxing’s most hated figures Paulie Malignaggi, is on the verge of becoming the boxing Judas to the fistic holiness that is Mayweather – Pacquiao, as Bob Arum (overseer of all things Pacquiao) has mentioned that the fast-talking Brooklynite could replace Mayweather on the boxing fan’s Ides of March (the 15th is the day Roman Emperor Julius Cesar was assassinated, the 13th would be remembered as the day that Yo Paulie Little Mac stabbed our dreams of a mega fight and delivered a one-sided victory to Pacquiao)

If Paulie publicly states that he believes Pacquiao is on some sort of drug that gives him physical advantages, how does he make peace with fighting Pacquiao sans an extensive drug test? I guess money cures everything, except if your name is Money Mayweather.

Now, as I write this story, Team Mayweather states that they would be okay with restructuring the details of their drug test demands in order to make this fight.

As Pacquiao – Mayweather turns, but we still do not have a set fight with less than three months to go before March 13th.
