Pacquiao foolish not to defer politricks for Mayweather

Maybe Jinkee Pacquiao can lay down the law.

Bob Arum won’t do it.

Freddie Roach won’t interfere.

Michael Koncz wouldn’t even try.

Who knows where power broker Chavit Singson stands now that Manny Pacquiao flipped his political script and is now not linked, at least on the surface, with President Arrroyo’s party?

But someone close enough and persuasive enough needs to tell Pacquiao that his preoccupation with a political race may cost him bigtime as he prepares for the fight of his life against Floyd Mayweather Jr. March 13 in Las Vegas.

Preparing to fight Mayweather, in case you don’t know about his perfect pro record, is a fulltime job.

I know, I know, no fighter has ever handled multiple distractions away from the ring like Pacman has.

But those distractions didn’t amount to much when it was de la Hoya, Hatton and Cotto in the opposite corner.

Mayweather easily beat two of the three and he would have dazzled Cotto as well had they fought.

Roy Chiongbian may punch harder than Floyd Mayweather does

Pacquiao has his mind on Mayweather and Sarangani political foe and billionaire Roy Chiongbian simultaneously.

I don’t know if Manny has one, true and best friend but if he does I hope that person steps forward right now and tells the Pinoy Idol to do the right and proper thing.

Pacquiao, in order to enhance his chance for victory over Mayweather, should postpone his political plans.

Mayweather may be running around the ring but, other than that, he’s not even running for dogcatcher in Clark County, Nevada.

Mayweather has zero distractions. He’s not juggling anything.

Anyway you slice it, that’s an edge Pacquiao is handing his opponent like a Christmas gift.

And nobody, least of all people with their hands in Pacman’s pockets, can tell me different.

But somebody needs to tell Manny something different.

Someone needs to tug on Supermanny’s cape and tell him to stay away from Krpytonite.

Thus ends today’s Real Talk for Pacquiao.
