FORMER Oriental and Pacific Boxing Federation junior featherweight champion Jimrex Jaca scored an easy knockout victory over Renato Maghuyop in the main event of the RWS International boxing extravaganza Saturday night at the Barili Sports Gym.
Rolly Lunas, former Pan-Asian Boxing Association flyweight champion, also fashioned out a stoppage win over Jaime Acerda of Valencia, Bukidnon in the event held in line with Barili’s town fiesta.
Jaca had a quick workout when he unleashed four well-timed body shots that sent Maghuyop kneeling. He was counted out by referee Teddy Alivio.
Still gasping for breath, Maghuyop, the No.4 Philippine Boxing Federation lightweight contender, could not believe a fighter one division lower quickly got rid of him.
“His power is unbelievable. His body punches took the wind out of me and I could hardly breathe when the referee counted me out,” said the Cagayan de Oro-native Maghuyop.
