Popular NY promoter Lou DiBella walked away from his longtime money machine Jermain Taylor late last week. Reason being he didn’t want to be responsible for any more mental or physical damage that could occur if he continued fighting.

But Lou walked away from the wrong fighter in his stable. Paulie Malignaggi continues to fight on. And Lou is excited about it. Lou’s looking for future fights as of Monday morning.
No more Lou! Stop it! This no-talent, juiced up, Vinny Pazienza wannabe is one of the most boring, talentless fighters out there today.
He can’t break wind!
I had the fight on TV, but I didn’t watch it Saturday night. I guess that is the equivalent to “not inhaling.”
I can say that the career of Juan Diaz is now officially in the toilet, maybe one step below that of Victor Ortiz’s no matter how many stiffs Golden Boy digs out of boxing graveyards to revive his career.
So I don’t care how many more fights HBO owes Lou (because he used to work there a decade ago and had a settlement) I won’t watch.
Chicago was the perfect place to dump that fight. “The Windy City” should have been great inspiration for Paulie. Because that is all he is, is a breeze.
The August fight in Houston was to be his swan song, his last payday on the big stage, his children’s college fund.
But now we have at best a Saturday Night Fever dancer with whiffle ball power getting another HBO level payday fight in the talent-filled 140 division.
This takes up time and space. I say to all those bleeding heart writers that are now conveniently picking up the Paulie cause simply, “Be careful what you wish for.”
I can’t deal with it.
