I have no intention of watching Juan Diaz vs. Paulie Malignaggi Saturday night. I don’t want to dignify its worth or existence. Diaz won the first fight. So it’s over.
This is just a money grab for Malignaggi and he has succeeded. He stirred up all the nonsense back home in Brooklyn and got the locals all riled that they, well, they put the rematch in Chicago. Where are all his drive-by homies?
I thought Paulie was a ticket seller in New York? It seems he can’t even get arrested there in getting publicity.
He has since taken to badmouthing our Manny Pacquiao. Says Manny is taking illegal steroids. What a sleazeball Malignaggi is. He’s a rebel without a clue.
Like the first fight, HBO now needs a place to dump another non title, unimportant fight and I’m sure they are already regretting this fight. Why does the public have to be subjected to this fight? What did we do? And they pile on Victor Ortiz in a second fight!

These two fights has actually caused a young, vibrant and popular fighter like Juan Diaz to waste about eight months of his career while he should be matched with contenders and not pretenders.
Where are the sanctioning groups with a real title fight when you need them HBO?
It doesn’t help matters when pandering media don’t realize if a fight is a major title fight the sanctioning group(s) get two of the four officials.
Why not put some prospects (except Victor Ortiz or Roberto Guerrero) in the ring to earn some much needed Christmas money?
No matter what, post fight, you know this ungrateful Malignaggi will badmouth any fighter or judge/referee that isn’t kissing his ass and make us wish for the good old days of Cristobal Arreola firing his aimless F-Bombs. Like last weekend!
I hope this loss (and I hope it’s a whipping) is the end of Malignaggi’s “TV Fights” part of his free-falling career.
