FILIPINO hero Manny Pacquiao was swarmed with adoring fans upon his arrival last Friday night, but the brightest star in boxing constellation at the moment will have another taste of a hero?s welcome today with an array of activities lined up for him highlighted by his courtesy call on President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo at Malaca?ang Palace.
Pacquiao, who made his countrymen proud after stunning the boxing world with his masterful domination of Mexican featherweight great Marco Antonio Barrera, will kick off his day-long itinerary by gracing a flag-raising ceremony at the Manila City Hall with Mayor Lito Atienza this 7 am.
Afterwhich, Pacquiao will be having a motorcade passing through the route from the Manila City Hall to P. Burgos, Jones Bridge, Escolta, Sta. Cruz Church, Carlos Palanca, Quezon Boulevard, Rector, P. Casal, Taft, Quirino, South Superhighway, Buendia, Ayala Avenue and back to the Manila Hotel where Pacquiao and his wife Jinkee are staying.
