Never mind that boxing fans across Asia – if not the world – has been captivated by the exploits of Manny Pacquiao, now a heavyweight superstar after early humble beginnings in Mindanao, Philippines.
Over the last two years or so, regular Joes off the street with no interest in the sport have also jumped on the Pacman-mania bandwagon.
So really, nobody should be surprised that Hollywood stars all came out in force at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas to watch Pacquiao demolish Puerto Rico’s Miguel Cotto in a truly one-sided bout.
Wahlberg and Christian Bale are known to be huge fans of the much-celebrated Filipino and there’s no doubt more have joined the Pacquiao fan club after last weekend’s WBO fight.
