It was indeed a tough pill to swallow having seen Manny Pacquiao make the trio of myself, “Rigordo” Lois, and T-money look like foolish amateurs backing Miguel Cotto in this past Saturday’s fight. The “Pacman” put on what I consider to be above and beyond his most impressive display of aggression and toughness as he literally ran Miguel Cotto out of the ring just a few days ago.
It left many backers of the Puerto Rican in a state of shock as that is the last thing anyone expected to see come to fruition.
Let me make one thing very clear as of this very moment… Manny Pacquiao doesn’t need Floyd Mayweather Jr. in order to solidify his position as an all-time great within the sport of boxing.
He already is and at this point in time, Manny will undoubtedly go down as the greater fighter than the “Pretty Boy” due to the way he’s disposed of his adversaries in eye-opening fashion. The man is just that damn amazing.
I must state that I’ve never enjoyed eating so much crow stew as this raging southpaw is the type of super-fighter that the boxing world has needed for quite some time now.
We have the face of boxing in Manny Pacquiao that fights with the type of intensity and violence-minded mental make-up that’d make a young Mike Tyson blush with envy.
The entire Boxing Truth staff sends out a huge congratulations to the “Pacman” as he once again pulled off the impossible in defeating a man deemed as legitimately too much for him.
It’s a once in a lifetime experience and Manny is most definitely those rare, once in a lifetime fighters.
As crazy as it once-sounded… this Filipino superstar might just run Floyd Mayweather Jr. out of the ring should they ever square off. He is just that ferocious.
PS. Remember to check out our on-demand version of Sunday’s podcast here. Alot of fans gave their 2 cents about the astounding performance of the “Pacman”.
