Yes folks, Manny Pacquiao has to be considered one of, if not the greatest fighters of all time. There are still some people that deny him that dignified honor but it’s getting more and more difficult to. Look at what this man has accomplished. Seven world titles in seven different weight classes?
Recently, this writer spoke with famed fight trainer Freddie Roach, and believe it or not, he is talking about a possible run at the 154lb title, ” Yuri Foreman just won a world title at 154, we can beat him.” This writer certainly agrees with Roach that Pacquiao would demolish Yuri Foreman. The accomplishments that Manny Pacquiao has achieved are just amazing.
Miguel Cotto looked like a guy that had no business in the same ring as Manny Pacquiao. Sure, he showed us that he has the heart of a lion, and he’s a straight up warrior, but he was no match for Pacquiao. Isn’t that sounding more and more familiar? “He was no match for Pacquiao” this has been the case for Morales, Barrera, Hatton, De La Hoya, Cotto, and the list goes on.
Miguel Cotto was taken to the hospital for overnight observation as Manny Pacquiao was singing his songs for his fans. What? Amazing indeed.
I also spoke with HBO’s Emanuel Steward today, he summed up Pacquiao’s accomplishments quite clearly, ” Pacquiao is the greatest fighter of all time. Seven world titles in seven different weight divisions? You have to put him along side the Muhammad Ali’s and the Ray Robinson’s”
Wow, did I hear those words right? Steward put Pacquiao along side Muhammad Ali and Ray Robinson. And you know what? I agree with him. How can you not agree with that, unless you’re just a Pacquiao hater? You can’t logically deny it.
Last night’s performance was worth the $54.95 that this writer paid to see it. The under-card was horrible, but thank God the main event didn’t disappoint.
