Manny Pacquiao is truly an all time great. Many can say well Cotto is finished goods, so that’s why Cotto lost. I disagree, I feel that Pac-Man was too much for Cotto because he kept moving and launching power shots from every single angle. Early on it looked as if any man could KO the other, but it seemed to me that after 3 rounds Cotto had nothing on his punches. Cotto was able to back up the very strong Clottey and get through his guard with pwerful shots, is Pac-Man stronger than Clottey? I don’t think he is but it sure looked that way. Some can and will point to the weight and say Cotto is weak when making weight for anything under 147 pounds, and you know and I know that one could argue that. Some will say well it’s only 2 pounds, well if it’s only 2 pounds as you say then why not make it at 147? Pick your poison, I shall eat crow tonight and enjoy every single bite. Manny Pacquiao a true great snatches a record seven world title in seven weight classes and I am smart enough to realize when I am witnessing greatness. A fight against Floyd Mayweather Jr. is now being screamed from rooftops all over the world, will Money May answer the call? I don’t know if he will, but if he does answer, The question is who indeed is the Great? We will find out when and if that bridge gets crossed, but what I do know is that Floyd Mayweather Jr. is a great talent but Manny Pacquiao is an all time great.

Alfonso Gomez escapes with a win in a bloody 6th round unanimous technical decision against the very tough Jesus Soto Karass. The fight was alot more like a brawl, Karass was fighting Gomez as if Gomez had just stolen Karass’s girlfriend. Low blows, headbuts, and wild shots were launched. At the very end of it all, Gomez escapes with a W. The win helped Gomez but he will need to stay busy if he wants to be known more than just a contender, as for Karass, Karass will have to get his act together if he wants to be remembered more than just a tough sparring partner.
Yuri Foreman and his slick busy ass feet of his does enough to overwhelm the very sloppy Daniel Santos. It will be hard to beat the rabbi from the BK, his conditioning is on point, as long as he stays moving it will be very hard to get set and find him. Congrats to Yuri Foreman the New WBA champ. As for Santos, it may be time to throw in the towel on his career.
Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. made his middleweight debut beating Troy Rowland in ten boring rounds. Chavez Jr. to me needs to drop back down to 154 because at 160 I felt that his punches had very little mustard on them. I would favor Duddy if Chavez Jr. is to face Duddy in a future clash. If Chavez Jr. can get it together at this new weight maybe it can be interesting, but right now after watching him tonight, I would favor Duddy.
