CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY — The Philippines top rated jr. lightweight boxing contender Dexter Delada stopped Bert Narvaez in the 1st round of their non-title fight in Mambajao, Camiguin over the weekend.
Delada completely dominated the Philippine No. 5 lightweight Narvaez to score the knockout in 1:53 of the opening round.
The Delada-Narvaez ten rounder was the top main event of the boxing promotion of Cebu promoter-manager Rex Wakee Salud. Three supporting six rounders also saw the winners claiming victories via the short route.
In the first supporting encounter, Mini flyweight Abdul Simocmade short work of Noel Acasio scoring a technical knockout victory in 1:45 of the third round of the scheduled six rounder.
Reggie Delada also duplicated the abbreviated win of his brother Dexter when he stopped Jackie Pagara in 2 minutes and 5 seconds of the 1st round of their scheduled six rounder.
Rounding up the supporting bouts was a flyweight fight between Roger Berloza and Felix Villegas which saw Berloza prevailing with a technical knockout win in the second round over Villegas.
